Executive Screen proves the perfect solution to protecting new conservatory.
Homeowners in Sheffield needed a way to stop neighbouring cats settling in their new conservatory. Their contemporary new build included a large opening allowing them to get the most from their garden all year-round. Closing it off seemed to defeat the point, yet the cat visits needed to stop.
They sought advice from their local blinds expert, Chris Coe at Visionary Blinds. Chris says: "They had considered a roller blind to deter the cat visits with a plastic window to preserve the view. However, I knew a blind would move around in the wind causing irritation and creating gaps for cats to sneak in again. It would also block a significant amount of light due to the size of the opening.
"I recommended an insect screen and explained how a large retractable fly screen would stop cats settling on their sofas, maintain airflow, keep the bugs out and provide shading without cloaking their view. They loved the idea - and the added benefits - so I started to source something to fit the 5m opening."
Chris knew of Phantom Screens and our solutions for larger openings. He selected our Executive Retractable Power Screen finished in anthracite grey with charcoal mesh to match his customer's frame. The installation was simple and quick, and Chris's homeowners were delighted with the results. They now enjoy a much improved living environment and comfortable cat-free space.
