Integrated Screen Mix For Bug-Free Property
Hidden along what must be one of central England's prettiest country lanes is a rural property with spectacular views over woods and rolling countryside. This area, once famous for its medicinal springs, houses a sparse collection of rural properties making the most of open land at the top of a hill.
But the property's perfect position while peaceful and warm, had played host to flies in summer months -- an invasion that prompted its new owners to embark on a Google search for 'flyscreens'.
"Sadly, my impression of flyscreens was one of outdated strips of plastic or ugly contraptions attached to windows. Phantom Screens looked completely different and we were encouraged by the positive reviews they'd been given by other customers."
Following an installation of nine Phantom Screens fitted with 18/14 black insect mesh, the owners are now able to make the most of their country location and let the fresh air in without worrying about summer insect invasion. When retracted, the screens disappear from view with no impact on décor or the clean architectural lines of the property.
"We're delighted with their discrete presence and we're all getting used to them as an integral part of the house. We'd been used to keeping all the doors closed to stop the flies coming in, now we can't wait to open them."
The owners' young children have happily got into the habit of closing the screens when they run outside to play, leaving bugs barred from entry and a happier interior environment for all. Any curious local cats are also kept out.
The property currently has:
1 x Executive Power Screen fitted to an oversized opening at the rear of the property. This screen works with bi-fold doors and was powder-coated to blend seamlessly with woodgrain frames.
1 x retracting Legacy screen fitted to the well-used rear kitchen door.
7 x retracting Serene screens fitted to various downstairs and upstairs windows, all matching the existing frame colours.
