Phantom Screens has developed and tested a number of Fly Screen mesh and decorative fabric choices.

The Serene window Fly screen and Executive manual and power screens can also be fitted with coloured and more decorative fabrics in addition to Fly screen meshes. The Serene systems side channels have a soft brush seal to minimise light bleeding around the edge of the screen (or of course insects when used as a fly screen) meaning the screen can be used as a black out blind. When combined with a matching paint colour the fine frame and fabric can create a very attractive, contemporary, and stylish blinds system. The Serene system has previously been fitted with white frames and high gain white blackout fabric to make a home cinema or office projector screen thus, using the window rather than a wall, doing two jobs in one.

New to our range is a mesh with superfine filaments which filters air born pollen to help keep rooms ventilated with clean fresh air without the pollen.

For doors the recommended charcoal coloured fly screen mesh comes in three densities giving you the ultimate choice of insect protection, ventilation as well as solar shading (40% to 65% block) and privacy.

Insect Mesh

Ideal where insects are a problem, this mesh type reduces up to 55% of UV rays. Insect mesh also features a higher openness factor and is recommended for large openings, ventilation, and visibility to the outside.

Solar Mesh

Mesh types in this category reduce heat and glare by up to 75% and keep insects out. Solar mesh is perfect for keeping the interior spaces cooler when the screens are lowered, and protecting your carpets, drapes, and furniture from fading.

Privacy Mesh

Available in multiple colors, this mesh type blocks up to 90% of UV rays. Thicker weaves provide extra solar protection and added privacy.
